Fill Out Your Patient Forms
Speed up your first appointment by completing your forms ahead of time. All forms are secure and HIPAA-compliant through our online portal.
Scheduling and Cancellations
We know life gets busy, so we make scheduling as convenient as possible. New patients can use our online scheduler to choose the location, date, and time that works best. Appointments are not confirmed until our team contacts you to finalize the details. For existing patients, please call us to schedule an appointment.
Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:40 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 7:40 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We have four offices in Columbus, Canal Winchester, Pickerington, and Grove City.
Need to reschedule? No problem. Give us a call at (614) 864-5555 at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer that time to another patient.
How Long Do Appointments Usually Last?
Initial consultations generally last 45 minutes to 1 hour. These longer appointments include photos, x-rays or scans, a full orthodontic exam, and time for us to go over your treatment options with you. Adjustment appointments last around 15 to 30 minutes, depending on what adjustments are necessary.
How Often Will I Have To Come In for Appointments?
Usually, patients visit Carmen Orthodontics every 6-8 weeks. Invisalign patients may not have to visit us as frequently since we use Dental Monitoring!
Your First Visit to Carmen Orthodontics
Your first consultation includes the following:
- Digital 3D scan of your teeth with our iTero scanner (no messy impressions here!)
- Personalized exam by Dr. Jesse or Dr. Sabrina
- Creation of a customized treatment plan tailored to your goals and lifestyle
- Clear breakdown of costs and insurance coverage
There’s no cost and no pressure at your first consultation, just expert guidance and answers to all your questions. You can even get started with treatment on the same day!
What Should I Bring to My First Appointment?
Please bring a valid photo ID, your dental or medical insurance card, a form of payment for any copays or out-of-pocket costs, and any requested forms from your dentist (if applicable).
How Should I Prepare for My Consultation?
Before your initial consultation, please fill out any relevant forms online (if available), write down any questions or concerns you want to discuss, and arrive a little early to check-in for your appointment. If the consultation is for your child, let them know what to expect so they can feel comfortable.

At Carmen Orthodontics, we believe that everyone deserves a smile they love. That’s why we provide transparent, honest pricing.
Whether you choose Invisalign or braces, you’ll pay the same price. We’ll work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget. Our most popular plan starts at just $350 down and $149/month, all with 0% interest.
Emergency Orthodontic Care
- Loose Bracket or Wire: If it’s not causing pain, you can wait until your next visit. If it’s poking or uncomfortable, use orthodontic wax or trim the wire with clean nail clippers.
- Lost Clear Aligner or Retainer: Contact us right away so we can keep your treatment on track.
- Mouth Soreness or Irritation: Discomfort is normal after braces adjustments or new aligners. Over-the-counter pain relief and a saltwater rinse can help. You can also enjoy cold foods such as ice cream to help with soreness.
- Broken Appliance: Avoid using a broken appliance and call us so we can schedule a repair appointment.
